Onyido Nkemjika better known as Ketchup needs no introduction but for those who still don’t know this versatile reggae-dancehall exponent, he is the one that sang the blazing classic ‘Hapuya Lyke Dat’.
The singer, who sparked off rumours that he was getting married secretly with a video he posted on social media, has come out to say he is not one for loud weddings.
Ketchup explained that the video he posted was to show him preparing for a friend’s wedding which held yesterday (Saturday).
“People have been calling to wish me a happy married life because they believe I’m secretly getting married”, he told Showtime in an exclusive interview. “The video I posted was just about me preparing for a friend’s wedding taking place on Saturday (yesterday)”.
The ‘Show Me Your Rozay’ crooner, however, affirmed that whenever he would be getting married, it would not be shrouded in secrecy like D’banj’s neither would it be publicized like Tiwa Savage, Banky W or Oritsefemi’s.
“Yeah, when I’m getting married I wouldn’t get married secretly but silently. My job is already loud enough; that is exactly how I will like to handle my private life”, he said.
He however explained why he would love to have a low key wedding ceremony.
“Different people with different vibes you know, just to keep my private life out of the people’s reach. I’ll rather save for my family than share rice round the town; God forbid if something goes wrong some of these same rice eaters will be the same ones to laugh at me”, Ketchup quipped.
